Well, I haven't been in Caya coco and Holguin but I spent a two weeks vacation with my students at Veradero. I can say that the place is really great! I love the beach and the beautiful places which give me a good opportunity to take some pictures for my scoop. Next time i'll be visiting caya coco or Holguin. I want to know what's with the place. By the way, before you travel, decide whether you are going to get a travel agency to help you. Last time, I hire Holiday swings to help us. They're pretty good in package deals.

I've been to Caillo Guillermo once and Holguin twice and I would probably recommend Holguin, the Guardalavaca area is also very nice. I have found that there tends to be a lot of wind in Cuba, but Caillo Guillermo was slightly windier. If you're going to Holguin, the Brisas Guardelavaca was nice, it was a 4 star. The food, like anywhere in Cuba pretty much, was just okay. But other than that we had a great time! Two months ago we went to the Sirenis Playa Turquesa in Holguin as well and had an amazing time. The rooms were huge and clean and the staff was very friendly and nice. Our only complaint was the food, it was not great but we always managed to find something we liked to eat. Also the service was not the best; they were definitely understaffed. But the beach was beautiful as well as the pools. I would definitely go back! Had a great time at both the Brisas Guardalavava and the Sirenis Playa Turquesa. Despite the food, Cuba is probably our favorite place in the caribbean because it is so safe, and beautiful and we always have a great time.
Cheers!

I would go to Varadero. It's more of a party town than anywhere else, and the party is on-going. YOu can get cheaper packages to places like Camaguey and Holguin, but there isn't a year round, gauranteed party for younger people. Varadero is also one of the safest places I have ever visited.
Keep in mind that party hotel and quality hotel do not go hand in hand. It's hard to find a party resort higher than 3*'s.

Beardo is telling you what I would've told you by visiting Varadero.Where you fly from is another thing yet There are packages to Varadero that would be worth your while.Good deals are to fly to/from Varadero from Toronto Pearson Intl. Here's the thing if you are Americans...it is Not illegal to travel to Cuba it is illegal to engaged in business transactions in Cuba without a License from the Dept.of Treasury.Which means you can't spend money there unless you have a license yet when you leave Cuba thru air you'll pay $25.00 USD or CVC.That means you're spending money as it applies to you leaving the country.
Just remember that if you are Americans don't transit in Canada or Bahamas coming back as you go thru U.S Customs /regulations.at those airports.I went last year via Cayman Airways the Cuban Authorities don't stamp your passport.

It depends what is your view of best.
Most tourists go the all-inclusive beach resorts - in varadero, Cayo Coco/Cayo Guillermo, Guardalavaca etc. These are safe and well-controlled, but somewhat separated from the "real Cuba".
For a group of teenagers, I suspect a beach hotel in Varadero would be "best". Look on Trip Advisor to see reviews.
